Safari 4:
Firefox 3.5.5: says AES-128 128 bit
IE 7: says RC4 with 128 bit
IE 8:
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Go to any https url
2. Right mouse click
3. Click 'View page info'
What is the expected result?
Chrome would tell me the cipher suite chosen for the conversation.
What happens instead?
Chrome says something less specific like '...is encrypted with 128 bit
encryption'.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
As a network security administrator it makes a difference to me whether the
https session is using (for example) 128 bit AES or 128 bit RC4. Other
browsers will tell me which. Chrome is not so specific, so I have to run an
SSL packet trace to be sure. If you could provide more detail on the cipher
suite in use when I click 'Display page info', it would make my job so much
easier.
