Chrome Version : 4.0.249.43 URLs (if applicable) : What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. if I attempt an XHR read in a local html file fetching data from an external site I get that error. 2. I don't have the error if I run the same code from an extension. What is the expected result? This should be cross site related but a LOCAL file *SHOULD* be allowed to fetch data from external sites like in an extension What happens instead? "XMLHttpRequest Exception 101" Please provide any additional information below.
