Status: Unconfirmed Owner: ---- Labels: OS-Linux Area-Undefined Type-Bug New issue 30857 by labarandiaran: Status Bar should expand to show full link when hover http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=30857
Chrome Version : 4.0.249.43 OS + version : Ubuntu 9.04 Fully Patched upto 19Dec CPU architecture (32-bit / 64-bit): 32bit window manager : Gnome Behavior in Firefox 3.x (if applicable): As expected What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Hover over any link longer than 52 characters What is the expected result? The status bar should popup showing the full destination url What happens instead? It caps the display at 52 characters. Since it's a "popup" status bar, it SHOULD be able to display the full address. It may be exploited by someone by using long urls to obscure the real destination of the address the user is about to click. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot and backtrace if possible. Screenshot attached.
