Some additional notes:
FWIW, Firefox as of 3.5.2 also fails to save this correctly. Safari on Mac,
however,
seems to have no problems.

The reason that google.tt fails to save properly is that the logo is
displayed using
a DIV with style="background:url(/intl/en_com/images/logo_plain.png)
