it has worked for a while i think, though not correctly
the direction the selection changes when u use shift+arrow keys is the same

This works correctly in version 2.0.166.1 running under Windows Vista.

Would be cool to add this feature and some text selection gestures FF has:
1) SHIFT + ARROW , edits selection by character
2) SHIFT
