By the way sending a certificate automatically is a good idea. *BUT* it  
requires two
things:
  + at the very least it should be possible for the user to choose that it  
not be sent
automatically (perhaps even select a limited amount of time when it does)
  + even more important it should be easy for the user to see what client  
certificate
he is connected with. This could be done by showing in the URL bar an icon  
of the
client certificate with which the user is connected. Also he should be able  
to break
the connection easily, and choose a different certificate.

  The user interface to do this may not be that difficult to develop. See
