Tim - I have verified that Windows 2000 through Windows 2008 R2 Windows 7 all behave the same way - and return the invalid level DOSError 124. This is definitely by design, as is the omission of WordCount and ByteCount. What [CIFS] and [MS-SMB] do not detail very well is how error codes are
