Ciao again!
I'm very happy to have new compilation problems: it's an upgrade from
the old ones.
make gives me errors about a certain
file /home/raffa/hvirtual/quicktime/mp4a.
I read lines 96,97,102,106,143,61.
They looks beautifully hermetic.
Can you help me moving to the next problem?

It works for me. But to be honest - video editing in Kino is a bit old
fashioned. I have edited a lot of movies with Pinnacle (studio 9) and
there are some steps bakcwards using Kino. Haven't succeded in
installing Cinerella yet, but am looking forward to test it out.

I haven't tried Cinerella yet, but I've got the same problem with Kino.
When I start Kino in the console with sudo kino, it works just fine. It
may work with Cinerella as well, then you don't have to change
permissions on dev/raw1394 after each reboot...

Miha, Kevin, thanks for your replies.

I have the latest available versions of both installed on my Edgy

Seems that this is XCB related - disabling xcb in libX11 FIXES the problem. XCB
bug?

Post author uses OpenEXR 1.4.0 while I use 1.2.2 so it doesn't look like
OpenEXR issue.
