Hi Scott,
Your 'top' output reveals a pretty significant problem. You are running
with no swap space!

I suggest that you re-configure your machine to have around 4GB of swap
and see if that helps.

Sounds like something to do with background rendering. In Preferences/
Performance turn that off and see if that helps.

yeah after I posted that I figured that would be something that had to be done
before building the program. I'm still learning linux, well I've only been
using it for a year so I'm still new to a lot of this.

Guys,
While using cinelerra with a 720P project, I have been receiving
constant hangs, mostly incurred after I do a timeline operation: zoom in
or out or select or cut and paste. The media on the timeline is one HDV
video track and six audio tracks (3 stereo).
Cinelerra hangs for at least ten min

Wanted to say hi and post a question. I'm pretty new to Cinelerra and I've run
into an issue that I can't figure out. I've got a dv file that I captured wth
kino in 16:9 and I edited it down. Then I wanted to render it back out as dv so
I could take it into another program. Problem is the aspec

Richard,
Did you already managed to get real producer working for any input
format? I tried it some time ago, and it never worked...
Can't RP use mpeg2 as input? Cinelerra can output perfectly-compliant
mpeg2 files.
Nicolas.

Hi all,
I'm trying to create RealVideo stream files using RealProducer (RP) for
Linux, but so far (after several hours of trying), I haven't succeeded.
The base material is a DV file, imported using Kino. As the Linux
version of RP only accepts the uncompressed Quicktime format, I tried
rendering

every developer preferes bugs that are "clean", reproducible
and rather localized, ready to get "hands on

I am just wondering why the Packages file in the

the cinelerra package?
