I'm sorry but I really have no real performance comparisons. I have been
rapped up with a bunch of stuff. All I really know is that it compiled
cleanly and runs and worked with some quick edits just to check
operation. Anecdotally, cinelerra seems to start more quickly.

The camcorder file is named VR_MOVIE.VOB and totem will play it with
sound. If I start Cinelerra and load this file the video and audio
tracks appear with thumbnails? of the start of each segment. In the
Resources window it is classified as media. I can paste it in the
Viewer window which th

The Cinelerra window is only full screen or minimized. Previously when
I started Cinelerra all three windows - Cinelerra, Viewer and Compositor
opened as non-overlapping windows. Now Viewer and Compositor open
minimized.
The Viewer window can be opened on top of the Cinelerra win
