Never run anything as root unless it is absolutely needed.
(configuring system, installing something..)
There is no difference runnnig ./cinelerra as a user or just a
different user. Root is just a user with access restrictions turned
off. Any program runned as root can make your system unusa

I'd like to use a single channel track and make it a pseudo stereo one
using either Sox or FFmpeg.
