cinelerra-cv can not load a .mpg file
that cinelerra had no trouble using.

I didn't understand the '?' comment. '?' doesn't do anything at all that

Cinelerra2.1 can't read sowt codec.
You should export the audio part of your video, encode it into a format
readable by Cinelerra and import video and audio separately.
by the way it seems that there is a patch ... but for Cin4.1 ==>
