I wonder what is suggested as preferable and best, either to correct the
analog S-video stream before conversion to DV, or afterwards on DV with
Cinelerra?

I will use a TBC to stabilize and clean the analog S-video stream before
DV conversion. In addition I can use a high resolution video
processor/color corrector to adjust detail, brightness, contrast and
separate RGB color saturation (white balance) and more effects (sephia,
negative). If I use it think it is best to connect on the analog video
stream before input to the TBC:

S-video player->(Video/RGB corrector)->TBC->ADVC/Firewire->DV IN Firewire PC

Which tools are available in Cinelerra or other on Linux to do such
corrections?
