I guess you could just use the copy commands to copy the IOS Image file
stored on a TFTP server onto the Flash !!
I did this once on a 1600, I dont know if it will work on the 2500's as well
!! But I believe it should.

Late collision occurs when the packet is not even completely transmitted
from the routers interface. It may even be a topology problem. I suggest you
to also have a check on the cable length specifications and the network
diameter to see if they meet the standards.
