I was trying to find out what the proper procedure for upgrading the PDM on a PIX box is. The documentation on Cisco's site cover installation (including on an existing box) but it doesn't seem to address specifically the upgrade. Can I simply send the binary via TFTP? The Cisco documentation doesn't seem to specify whether it will affect the firewall config or not. I wouldn't assume that it would but we all know what we get when we assume....
