I agree, I have both the Cisco Press and the Sybex book.
I read through the sybex once, but did all my actual "studying"
with the CP book. Got a 912

I have heard MANY varying opinions on the ram in the 2500 series routers,
and would like to get a definite answer.
Is the ram 72pin 60ns parity ram, proprietary cisco, or some other flavor?
Replies are appreciated.

I recently purchased a 2610 with a 56/64k DSU/CSU card in it.
My question is, what would be the easiest way to implement it with the rest
of
my lab.
Rest of the lab consists of:
2503, 2504, 2509, 2513, and a 4000 as the frame relay switch.
Thanks a bunch for any suggestions or information offe
I took the exam a few weeks back.
All the commands were type in (not selecting
from a list of commands).
They dealt with both 'set based' and ios.

I think the easiest way of changing to R/W and understanding it is to
have the router boot from a TFTP server.
When it is booting from a TFTP server, whatever is in flash is of no
concern, so therefore it is read/write and you can delete it or whatever you
want.
However, if you are booting from an
The problem is you need a different version of IOS. You need at

4000M NP-4T
4000M NP-4T
My goal is to finish off my CCNP by mid september and keep going along with
the CCIE.
I would like to be able to tackle "most" of the labs from ccbootcamp on my
ho
I have a quick question:
Is the flash in the 4000m router the same as the 2600/3600?
I see some ppl on ebay selling flash saying that it's compatible
with all three of those models.
Yet, other ppl tell me the 4000 has the same flash as the 2500???
Thanks for any replies in advance,

You'll have to boot from the image in ROM.
As your system starts to boot up, hit ctrl-break, or ctrl-alt-break
(whatever works for you, depending on your terminal program).
Then enter the command to boot from the image in ROM.
I believe it is:

Then you'll be up and running and you can tftp o
