CCNP exams [7:24062]

2001-10-24 Thread Ken W. Alger
A quick question about the CCNP exams... How much of the covered material is IOS specific versus knowledge about protocols etc. I guess the real question is how difficult is it to pass the exams without spending a gob of cash on lab equipment? Thanks Ken Message Posted at: http://www.groups

508-CS versus 2509/2511

For a CCNP/CCIE lab, is a 508-CS sufficient to act as a terminal server or is it better to go for the 2509/11? Thanks, Ken _ FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EM

Steven: I used the CCDA Study Guide by Syngress/Osborne (ISBN 0-07-212159-9) and the CCDA Designing Cisco Networks (ISBN 1-57870-105-8) and thought that combined they offered good coverage. Best of luck, Ken W. Alger, MCSE, MCT, CCNA, CCDA "Steven Quek" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

True, true, but it certainly beats the $38.00 that they charge at the local electronics store. It has always amazed me at the price that we in the IT field pay to avoid the "hassle" of making cables/connectors, i.e. Cisco charges $100 for an AUX/Console cable kit. Anyway, just my opinion. Ken

If I am not mistaken, you need to obtain a Token Ring Media Filter that has DB9 Female on one end and RJ45 Female on the other. They run $15.00 at http://www.optsys.net/. Tell Brad I sent you. Thanks, Ken W. Alger, MCSE, CCNA ""trammer"" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote in
