If a device is using the "fast switching" method and only the first packet
is handled* by the router, does the switch look any deeper than the frame
level to determine the switching for the remaining packets/frames? How does
it read the rewritten frame to know that it should send

Not being familiar with Token-Ring, well for that matter not much else
either, is this just the way it is stored in memory or if I were to sniff a
frame in Token-Ring on one side of the gateway/router I would see the MAC
address represented one way from left to right and if sniffe

I have a customer that spends quite a bit of money calling to branch offices
just across the LATA into another local provider area. If the four lines
were adequate I wonder if the this router would work well enough for office
to office communications. Voice quality etc.

I'm a newbie and just wondering about the authentication command.
Is it ok to to skip the word "authentication" when configuring?
"ppp authentication chap" and do you have to enter the same info on both
