Timothy , If the goal is just to change the Bridge ID ,then just change the Priority . I don't know any way to change the MAC address of the switch . Now, if teh ultimate goal is to stop the switch from becoming the root of the Spanning Tree . Then you can use the STP Root Gaurd Enhncement feature .
