If asked to select a routing protocol for various venders routers in a
large network, we would answer OSPF, but have concerns about the
resources (CPU & memory) of some routers in the network. If asked the
same question, but in a very large network whats the answer? And whats
a very large network as compared to a large network? I realize, if you
start seeing different autonomous systems youre getting there, but
where do we draw the line? If we are designing a network from scratch
when do we say, lets make different autonomous systems? When area 0 gets
to 50 routers?
