buffer tuning 6509 [7:56891]

2002-11-05 Thread Mr Joshua
Does anybody know of a good white paper on buffer tuning? I have read a couple of generic ones on Cisco's website, yet they are not good enough to satisfy what I need to know. Called TAC - not a whole lot of help this time! As you can see, there are a lot of misses on medium and middle buffers.

wow... Thank you. I am going to upgrade it, see what happens and if the problem still persists, I will paste this in over the weekend and post what happens. Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=56944&t=56906 -- FAQ, list

I do not think it is turned on by default. ip multicast-routing is the command to crank it up. by default, it will be sent out of all ports on your Cats. We are using igmp snooping here. It is better than cgmp. We once opened up a ticket to understand the difference. Message Posted at: http:

cir=the average rate you want to transmit at in periods of non-congestion. mincir=the minimum amount the telco will commit to transmit during the periods of congestion. usually mincir=cir/2 Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=55224&t=55223 -
