Sounds like you're trying to use traffic SHAPING, not CAR
CAR uses a different type of Token Bucket than Shaping
The command on IOS should be frightfully similar to:
config terminal
access-list 101 permit tcp any any
interface serial 0/0 (your seiral#)
ip access-group 101 out
traffic-shape grou

Cisco Press is always the best bacause it is more specific what you see in
the real exams although some people read other books along with cisco press
which are more users friendly and easy to pickup like sybex, examcram etc.
CCDP is just an addition to CCNP where you see more about desgining net

You can use Cisco Secure 2.6 software for multisession, and above cisco link
talks about configuration on router side.
If you have CCO access you can download a demo copy of Cisco Secure to have
this feature.

just a quick question, Is it really require to restart the pix firewall to
take effect the new settings??
another question is defining static map for INSIDE/DMZ/OUTSIDE should be in
sequence or it does not mater whatever sequence you make.

These are five steps. (1 Must Question you should know)
1- User information is converted to data (Application Layer)
2- Data converted to segments (Transport Layer)
3- Segments converted to packets or datagrams (Network Layer)
4- Packets and datagrams are converted to frames (Data Link)
5- Frame
on your router type
logging buffered debug
logging (syslog server ip address)
logging history debugging
logging trap information
logging facility local07 (depanding on critics)
you could go to # mode and use logging ? and see what kind of logging you
want.
Syslog server can be found on BOSON

Dear fellows,
How we could secure MS exchange over PIX firewall, we do not want any
unknown user to access Exchange Server5.5 for relaying, is there any way
that we can protect that thru PIX firewall or thru the external Router???
