If your CSU is of V.35 DCE (female) then you are safe to use the V35 DTE
(male) cable.

Cisco 4000 also supports other types of connectors, like V.24

ensure your cable is smoke-blue in color and has a Manchester (block)
connector with
male pins... there- now you know to order from Cisco!
