172.16.1.2/24 , then my computer will trigger udp broadcast to 172.16.1.255,
in order to browse to network neighborhood?

If we take CCNP R/S foundation exam, do we need to pass all three subjects?
I remembered someone in this list, said how happy he was, since he passed
foundation exam withouth knowing to much on Switching subject (he think he
failed on swithing), but still passed the exam.

2. make sure you are using the correct type of cable (DTE/DCE type) from
Cisco serial to Comstream port
3. try to loop back comstream (local Loop back), you should find Line
