You may also want to check the memory requirements. I know we had a similar
problem with a 2620 that didnt have enough memory to run all the WICs we had
in it.

maximum speed of serial interface on WIC-1T is 2Mbps. Maximum speed
of ports on NM-8A/S, working in sync mode, is 128Kbps. That could
be problem in your situation.
