>From what I've seen recently on Ebay, the prices for 4500/4700 SM modules have been cheaper than 4500/4700 MM modules. Your cabling won't affect the upper layer protocols, so the cheaper cable is the best choice. Also, I rarely see SM modules in the LS100 switches advertised on Ebay. If you decide to buy SM modules for either of your routers, make sure you got a switch with SM lined up first.
