Hi group, I want to set up a Commited Access Rate (CAR) on my serial interface to the Internet. Cisco recommends that we set up the same CAR on our provider's router. I want to know why we need to do so. Is it to have better service quality or is it for functionnaly reasons?. Any information is welcome. CAR Configuration: interface Serial 0 rate limit input access-group 102 128000 8000 8000 conform-action transmit exceed-action drop access-list 102 permit icmp any any echo access-list 102 permit icmp any any echo-reply Thank you.
