I have Old Catalyst 3512 clustered in one closet and just rolling out XP workstations. I have no problem loging into Windows 2000 Active directory with Win 98&2000. hey im not realy sure but maybe its that portfast thing, where the switch port does all the stp crap for 50 seconds. so u get to the xp login screen, but your not connected to network yet. can you login to the domain after u try pinging all the other servers etc ?? Justin :) At 01:37 AM 8/5/2

Double check you have set up portfast on the interfaces. XP may be trying to do the all the domain login faster then the switch is willing/able to start forwarding packets while doing STP. It will forward the packets almost immediately with portfast on. ""Justin Marcus"" wrote in message news:[E
