Hello There,
This is a bit boring question, I must admit, but try
to read through ...
I have a requirement to connect over the weekend, a
Cat 6509 to 2 'core' switches cat 5000.
This is the 1st 6509 that will be in the network, and
the switches acting as core are 'a bit old'.
Also, we won't be using the GE connections now, as
these core switches do not have such connectors.
My concern is which software should be run on the
6509, and is there anybody out there that had the same
funny setup ?
Anybody heard about some kind of incompatibilities ?
Here are the specs :
The 2 Catalysts 5000 are running 3.2(5), with
Sup I WS-X5509
10/100 M Fast Switching Module WS-X5213A
RSM WS-X5302 running 11.2.13P
The Catalyst 6509 is running what ever will seem the
best, with
Sup I with 2 GE WS-X6K-SUP1A-2GE
Ethernet Module WS-X6248-RJ45
