Please is need i help in relation to above subject. Is there any other way
that i can transfer data from one pc to another,without using Dial up modem?
My company is in the business of data transering & am looking into this
issue.

If you have NICs in the PC, you can plug into a hub or use a cross over
cable between the two and that should work. Of course you'll have to assign
them ip address also.

If you're using Windows 9x or NT/2000 machines, you could use NetBEUI as
your transport protocol and at least not have to mess with IP addresses. If
you're used to it, setting up IPs are a piece of cake, but if not,
