RFC 1483 describes Multiprotocol Encapsulation over ATM Adaptation Layer 5.
It outlines bridged, routed and null PDU encapsulation.
RFC 1577 describes Classical IP over ATM, which relies upon the use of RFC
1483 routed PDUs.
