I cannot get my two routers to talk over a CSU/DSU connection and cannot
figure out what I am missing. I get the notice "Serial 0 is up, line
protocol is down" on both routers. I am just starting out so I would
appreciate any advice on items to check in troubleshooting this setup.

make sure you have the right cable connecting them. pins 1,2 to 7,8 and 7,8
to 1,2. that is a 56/64k xover cable...

Make sure you are using the correct mapping of the
channels.
Check the crossover cable, or just make another one to
exclude cable issue.

Try setting the clock rate. I believe on the DCE side.
