Flash Simulations Added to New CCNA Exam On March 12, 2002, Cisco announced a new CCNA exam with simulations to maintain the high quality of Cisco certifications. The new CCNA exam will focus on testing a candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. The new CCNA exam #640-607 replaces exam #640-507 in all countries except Japan. All translated versions of exam #640-507 will be retired on March 12, except for Networking Academy students.
The new CCNA exam will utilize Flash simulations questions to validate an individual's understanding and application of the CCNA objectives. The new CCNA exam supports the current recommended training courses, Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices (ICND) v1.1 and CCNA Basics v1.0. All Cisco recommended training is available through Cisco Learning Partners and includes new integrated course simulations to assist candidates in preparation for the new simulation exam items. Simulations will be added to other certification courses and exams over time.
