I'm currently prepping for the BCRAN and am simulating different ISDN scenarios. I've worked with ISDN a bit in the past, but recently ran into a situation with which I'm not familiar. For tariff reasons, a local ISP chooses to setup their clients' access boxes to answer, rather than dial-in. I'm experimenting with a Cisco 802 with IOS 12.0. It's using IP unnumbered on BRI0 with a legal IP on the ethernet interface 0. My question is this: How do i get it to answer, without dialing? Can I simply shutdown the dialer 1 interface? Once I get it to answer, how do I keep it up permanently ( idle-timeout ?? )??
Any tips and advice would be appreciated, Bob McIntire Message Posted at: http://www.groupstudy.com/form/read.php?f=7&i=39121&t=39121 -------------------------------------------------- FAQ, list archives, and subscription info: http://www.groupstudy.com/list/cisco.html Report misconduct and Nondisclosure violations to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
