does any have a script already written that I could use to run ISDN testing,
I have about 900 sites that I need to test one a week and verify that their
backup line is working, We currently have a script that a guy wrote a while
back that is doing the testing, the problem with his script is that if a
site has more than one BRI interface that it will not test correctly. The
one he has will login to the router, enable ping the dialer map, see if it
has two active layer three calls and make sure it stays up for at least 30
seconds, long enough to make sure there is no authentication problems, and
negotiation problems, or Telco problems. If you know of a perl script that
will tell you that please let me know. Also if it will tell you how much the
circuit is costing you. He has a old script that will log into the headend
routers, or access servers and look at the log and pull all data that shows
a connection from the site, and how long it was connected, then it will
calculate the cost on what our carrier is charging us for long distance. The
would be useful if anyone has something that can do these and report to us.
