Have 2 routers with isis area passwords configured....One has #area-password 
FRED and the other #area-password Fred.....
Adjacencies form (as explained) but the routes area exchanged too!!
This should NOT happen as the passwords don't match even though they are in 
the same area.
Incidentally, a 3rd router in another area NOT configured for any 
authentication see all other routers?? This is as it should work.
NO problem...But shouldn't this be thought of as a weakness in ISIS 
authentication??
Any ideas.

BTW: I am following NetMaster Class' paper on Isis authentication.
Got to go back and check Doyle now...
