Hi Group!
People are talking pretty much about Juniper certs and the lack of
learning equipment
i am just curious if Olive / PC port of JunOS is something illegal.
If not i'd like to get my hands on it.
I was looking on the net and found nothing on it
so any comments/links/infos are very much appr
JunOS is only intended for use with Juniper routers. The olive was a
testing device that has long since been retired and is not supported in any
sense by Juniper.

I remember some guys on the list use LS120 on FreeBSD to boot JunOS, I never
tried it myself.

jkernel version 4.4 on
Olive by upgrading the kernel and base. Since the newbies are learning
on their own, you
don't have to worry about us bothering Juniper (or yourself) for
support.

Earlier this year I asked Juniper directly whether they had plans to make
the olive software readily available. Below is the response I received:
No, we are not. The olive software load was originally intended for
testing the
software before we had the hardware up and running. It
