Hello,
There will be no official July meeting (router roast) but there
will be one August 10th, Noon to 4 pm, at my house located at 1607 Thomas
Road, Fort Washington, MD 20744. Will remind everyone closer to the event
but please mark it on your calendars!
There will be a talk this Saturday afternoon on Network Security
Certifications. I'll be speaking about industry certifications for
individuals such as the CISSP, Checkpoint and various Cisco certs.
Kristin Sostrom will talk about certifying network systems as
secure for government agencies such as the Pentagon. She is an expert in
the policies, guidelines, and regulations that go into a security
certification for your network. Interesting stuff.
This will be held at CastleCon 15, a convention being held at the
Sheraton, Reston in Reston, VA. (which also includes Science Fiction,
Medieval Dancing, and everything inbetween). Con membership is $30.
