If you're
trying to use a 9-pin to RJ45 converter, make sure it's a MEDIA CONVERTER
and not a serial converter - the normal 9 pin-to-RJ45 connectors that we use
for consoles won't work on a T/R DB-9 interface.

Anybody know if this is a stand-alone token-ring hub or requires an
additional connection out the back ?
I bought it thinking it is a dumb hub and when connected my interfaces comes
up however I can't ping between them - almost as if the connections are not
sharing the backplane..aaargh !
