OK guys, What's the deal with the PIX licensing structure and IOS upgrade process?  Looking on CCO, I found docs that mention needing to register with TAC to get IPsec functionality in your PIX.  Does anyone know whether this registration costs money?  The reason I ask is I am contemplating

You can upgrade 5.1 and 5.2 Pix Software to support ipsec 56k DES for free ( if you have a cisco login ( reseller, consultant, or customer )). The 3DES license has a charge around $1200.00. If you purchase this pix off of ebay you will need to upgrade the PIX Software to 5.1 or 5.2 ( 4.x does not
