Passed CID today to finish the CCDP track. Tough exam. Second only to BCRAN
IMHO. I would like to know what books or study materials this group has
found to be effective in preparing for the CCIE written test. I am scheduled
for early September to take the test. I planned on

Ok , for the
CCIE written I personally used the following sources :
1) Caslow
2) Halabi
3) Jeff Doyle
4) OSPF Design Guide from CCO
5) DLSW+ Design Guide from CCO
6) Token ring paper from ccprep.com

I found that I had already achieved 80-90 % of the study necessary for the
CCIE written exam after I completed CCNP and CCDP. My area of study turned
to topics related to bridging, DLSW+ and BGP.

Congrats on the CCDP title. Definately an ugly exam. I'm copying an
earlier post I did explaining what I used to conquer the CCIE written. I'm
cutting and pasting a posting I did on the networkstudyguide.com website
after I passed the CCIE written at the end of April. I hope this
