I am looking for somebody who has used NetRanger before. Is it true that you can, using software from the Director CD, turn any Sun workstation into a Sensor? If so, has anybody ever done this, and were there any problems, or does this new sensor behave exactly like one bought from Cisco? I am trying to set up a cheap IDS lab, and I don't want to pay through the nose for sensors, I'd rather "make" my own, if this is possible.
