Hi ,

If you have enough memory on the switch being around 64MB , then I
suggest that you upgrade to a newer version of code , as the code you
are using is very old and out dated now. You can go onto Cisco's web
site and type in CAVEATS and your code , if there is such a current
problem then Cisco will tell you about it under the Caveats section.

Please let us know if you need any more help :)

Cheers and good luck.

Subject: Any help .....4003 gigabit module dropping connections....
[7:63416]

Hi,

Could anyone please let me know if there is a known problem with the
4003
switch when using the WS-X4412-2GB-T Gigabit module, in that connections
are
dropped.

I have being using the module with both Intel and 3COM 1gb cards and
suffer
lost connections with both types of cards.

Is this a known problem, which hopefully has a known fix?

The problem is so severe that I have stopped using the gigabit module
for
the time being.

Details of the switch are as follows:

WS-X4012 HW 2.2 GSP 6.3 (5.0) NMP 6.3 (5)

WS-X4148 HW 3.1

WS-X4412-2GB-T HW 1.0

Any help greatly appreciated.

Regards

Andy
