Neil, I think that you can in fact connect a key sytem to a FXS port. If you have the book "Cisco Voice Over Frame relay, ATM and IP" in page 129 figure 5-13 it shows the connection of a a Key system via a FXS. Do a search on cisco web for Key System and you will see a few examples. Juan Blanco -

Neil, I assume you are considering connecting an FXS VIC port to a key system. In that case you would connect to an FXO port on the key system. This would qualify as a "trunk" circuit connecting the two telephone switching devices. You are correct that this is not the best of possible connectio
