Actually, writing the log to memory takes the least CPU time of all logging options. As you pointed out, you don't waste all of your routers memory for logging. But you could at least check the amount of memory being used regularly and then use anything above that for logging. Check out that link I put in above. That software is free and they don't list minimum CPU/Memory for the PC, so I'd assume that you can run it on any PC that can run Win95/98 with a NIC. Mike W.
