5505 Sup III wants a straight ethernet cable as opposed to a rolled Console cable. Quick and dirty is to use a straight cable from the aux port of the 2509 to the console of the 5505. ip host sw9 2009 2.2.2.2 ! interface Loopback0 ip address 2.2.2.2 255.255.255.255 no ip directed-broadcast !
