Thanks Chuck

I will research your suggestions in the next little
while, I will take CCND exams in August and then lab
and lab only. I am so lucky to have the gear and such
a strong support from my company. I think there is
always a little bit of trade off with everything, my
pay can use an improvement, but I am not complaining,I
consider myself very fortunate.

The books I have use to prepare for this exam were:

All in one CCIE Study Guide by Roosevelt Gilles -
first three chapters, pices from the rest of it, you
can't say it is not in detail.

Bridges, Routers and Switches for CCIE by A. B.
Carslow
not in depth but read needed pices, will read for the
lab over and over untill I got the carma.

Routing TCP/IP volume I by Jeff Doyle
Cover to cover reads like a novell, although, I can't
say I still remember how novell reads or is it novel.

The most help was from good soul and friend Jean van
Eeden who lend me CCIE Prep kit - you can get one on
the Amazon.com, it is 400 pages summary, it does not
go too deep into subjects and it is not enough to read
just that but it is great to read it just a week
before a big day, it has all that is required on the
test ( but as I mentioned not enough detail to pass).
Jean also offered a great support as a friend and that
is priceless.

You will also need to know RIF in and out I mean you
will need to translate the RIF and know cannonical to
non-cannonical translation of MAC ( ether to token).

There is also a big brother cisco with all you need to
know and it was big help to me.

A groupstudy list is just priceless in tips on books
and where to find stuff, it takes so much time to
search for stuff I know because I started CCNP track
without being hooked up to this list and I can say it
made a huge difference in how fast I am progressing in
my cert. and how much it cost me.

I hope it helps, I did not post the details of my prep
before because it seems as it was already done,
frankly I followed the mailings from others who pass
CCIE written.

Good luck with your study, Anna
