Elmer, I've seen your exact problem before and just upgraded the bootroms to fix the issue. Your bootrom version 5.2(5) is a little old (5 + 5.2(5) = 10.2(5) bootrom version) and may not support the particular 8 meg flash chip you are trying to install. Certain vendor's (i.e. Intel) 8 meg flash ch
