DCD=up means that the interface is up and Carrier Detect present, right?

The meaning of dcd is data carrier detect which is the signal between
the tow modems to check the link is it ok between the modems or not

DCD is the Carrier Detect
Like the CD led on a PSTN line modem.

DCD mean Data Carrier Detect. The signal is generated by the DCE. DCD=Up
normally means that the local DCE device has established a connection with
the remote DCE but under certain scenarios/configs (if the lead is nailed
up) it might not reflect the true state of the connection.
