Brian,
I seem to recall the more recent versions of the Local Director software
supporting UDP based load balancing. You must be running version 3.1.1 of
the
Local Director OS. Check these links:

Hope this helps, Gary.

Subject: local director and UDP based applications

Suppose I had an application which used UDP as it's transport
and I wanted to have a number of servers hidden behind a local
director device. Does local director support load balancing UDP
based applications across a number of servers?

Specifically, the UDP based application is TFTP and will consist of
multi-packet transactions (the files will be several KB in size). Hence
there will need to be state stored in the local director device directing
the incoming requests to the proper server. The local director information
on cco seems to only reference TCP based applications.

If this is not supported by local director, are there other devices
(F5?) which supports load balancing of multi-packet UDP based
applications?

Thanks
Brian
